Acceptable Use Policy
What you may and may not do with ChronoProxy, which targets are blocked by default, and how we handle abuse.
Last updated: October 21, 2026
1. Purpose
This policy explains how you may use the ChronoProxy proxy services (the "Services") and what is not allowed. It is part of our Terms of Service. If you break it, we may limit, suspend or close your Account.
Capitalized words such as Account, Balance, Traffic, Dedicated IPs, Dashboard and Network Partners have the meaning given in the Terms. In short: Traffic is prepaid residential and mobile data in GB, Dedicated IPs are ISP and Datacenter proxies, and Network Partners are the third parties that supply the IP addresses and network capacity behind the Services.
Residential and mobile IPs belong to home and mobile internet connections. Abuse harms their users, the sites you visit and our other customers.
2. Allowed uses
You may use the Services for lawful purposes. Common examples:
- Collecting publicly available web data, such as product listings, prices and public reviews.
- Price and ad verification: checking how prices, offers and ads appear in different countries.
- SEO and SERP monitoring: checking search results and rankings from different locations.
- QA and geo testing: testing your own websites, apps and content from other countries and networks.
- Managing your own accounts on online platforms, within each platform's rules.
- Protecting your privacy, for example by not showing your own IP address to the sites you visit.
These examples do not make every method lawful. You must make sure your use complies with the laws that apply to you and to the sites you access, and with any contract you have accepted, such as a platform's terms. If you are not sure whether a use is allowed, ask us first.
3. Prohibited uses
You must not use the Services, or let anyone else use them, for any of the following.
3.1 Illegal activity and fraud
- Any activity that is illegal under the laws that apply to you, to us or to the target.
- Payment fraud, including carding and testing stolen card or account details.
- Phishing, scams, and impersonating other people or organizations.
- Money laundering, or hiding the origin of funds.
- Identity theft, or creating or using fake or stolen identities.
- Ad fraud and click fraud, including fake ad impressions, clicks, installs or affiliate conversions.
3.2 Attacks and intrusion
- Denial-of-service (DoS or DDoS) attacks.
- Scanning, probing or exploiting systems you do not own or do not have written permission to test.
- Spreading malware, or running command-and-control, botnet or similar infrastructure.
- Credential stuffing, brute-force attacks, password spraying, or any other attempt to break into accounts or systems.
3.3 Account abuse
- Creating fake or bulk-operated accounts to deceive platforms or their users.
- Buying, selling or generating fake engagement, such as likes, followers, views, reviews or votes.
- Taking over, or trying to access, accounts that are not yours.
- Ban evasion: returning to a platform after it has banned or suspended you or your accounts.
- Collecting data from behind other people's logins, or from any area that needs a login you are not authorized to use.
3.4 Spam and messaging abuse
- Sending unsolicited bulk messages by email, SMS, messengers, social networks, comments or web forms.
- Any activity that gets IP addresses listed on spam or abuse blocklists.
Mail ports are blocked by default (see section 4).
3.5 Harmful content
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or any content that sexualizes minors. We report it to the authorities where the law requires.
- Content that promotes or supports terrorism or violent extremism.
- Harassing, threatening or bullying any person.
- Sharing, or threatening to share, intimate images of a person without their consent.
3.6 IP and privacy violations
- Infringing copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights, for example by distributing pirated content.
- Collecting or using personal data without a lawful basis, or in breach of data protection laws such as the GDPR.
- Stalking, tracking or monitoring a person without their consent.
3.7 Tickets, age checks and regulated services
- Using bots to buy tickets for resale, or getting around ticket purchase limits, queues or other sale controls.
- Getting around age verification or other protections meant for children.
- Getting around the age checks or geo-restrictions of regulated services, such as gambling or financial services, where doing so is unlawful.
3.8 Overloading target sites
- Sending so many requests that a target site slows down, fails, or has to spend unusual resources to serve you.
Keep your request rates reasonable for the size of the site. Slow down when a site signals strain, for example with HTTP 429 or 503 responses.
3.9 Interfering with ChronoProxy
- Sharing, selling or reselling your Account, credentials or access without our written consent. Sub-users created in the Dashboard are allowed (see section 5).
- Getting around Traffic counting, limits, blocked targets, verification or other controls.
- Creating extra Accounts to claim free trials, bonuses or promotions more than once.
- Attacking, overloading or testing the security of our gateway, Dashboard or API without our written permission.
- Collecting lists of our exit IPs, for example to build proxy-detection databases.
- Using the Services to deal with or reach persons or places subject to US sanctions, or hiding your location to get around the sanctions rules in our Terms of Service.
4. Blocked targets and how to request access
To reduce abuse, our gateway blocks these targets by default:
- government and military sites (for example .gov and .mil domains);
- some banking, financial and payment sites;
- some ticketing sites;
- mail ports (SMTP ports 25, 465 and 587, and similar ports).
Network Partners may also block some targets on their side. We may change these lists when needed to prevent abuse or to meet legal or Network Partner requirements. A blocked target is not a fault in the Services.
If you have a legitimate need to reach a blocked target, you can request access. We will ask you to verify your identity and describe your use case, as explained in our KYC Policy. We decide each request case by case, and we may approve access only for specific targets, products or volumes. We cannot unlock targets that a Network Partner blocks.
Do not try to reach blocked targets in other ways, such as through redirects, other ports or alternative domains.
5. Your responsibility for sub-users and your customers
You are responsible for all activity under your Account. This includes activity by sub-users you create in the Dashboard and by anyone who uses your credentials or API keys.
- Give sub-user access only to people who have agreed to follow this policy.
- Keep your credentials and API keys secure, and change them if you think someone else has them.
- If we have agreed in writing that you may offer the Services to your own customers, you must bind them to rules at least as strict as this policy, be able to identify them, act on abuse reports about them, and cooperate with our verification requests.
When abuse comes from one sub-user or one of your customers, we may act on that sub-user only, if that is enough to stop it.
6. Monitoring
We do not read or store the content of your requests and responses, and we do not store the websites you visit. The gateway uses the destination of each connection only while the connection is open, to route it and apply blocks. It keeps a session log (your Account or sub-user, the session, your client IP and the start and end time of each session) for 14 days for security and abuse investigation, as described in our Privacy Policy.
We use this log, together with reports from target sites, Network Partners, rights holders and authorities, to detect and investigate abuse. We do not watch all activity in real time, and we cannot promise to detect every breach of this policy.
7. Enforcement
If we believe that you or one of your sub-users broke this policy, we may take one or more of these steps. We choose them based on how serious the case is, the harm caused and your history with us.
- Send you a warning and ask you to stop.
- Block a target, a port or a sub-user.
- Ask you to verify your identity (see our KYC Policy).
- Suspend all or part of your Account.
- Terminate your Account. For serious abuse, such as fraud, attacks or CSAM, we may terminate without refunding your Balance, Traffic or Dedicated IPs. This does not affect any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
- Report the activity to the competent authorities where the law requires it.
We usually warn you first. For serious or ongoing abuse, or when a Network Partner or an authority requires it, we may act at once. We will tell you what we did and why, unless that would be unlawful or would harm an investigation.
We disclose customer data to authorities only in response to valid legal process (such as a subpoena, court order or warrant), or in an emergency involving danger of death or serious physical injury. We do not have the content of your requests.
If you think we made a mistake, reply to our notice or write to [email protected]. We will review the decision and tell you the outcome.
8. Repeat infringers
We respect intellectual property rights. If we receive repeated valid notices that an Account infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights, we will, in appropriate circumstances, terminate that Account. Send infringement notices through our abuse page.
9. Reporting abuse
If you see abuse coming from our network, report it through our abuse page or to [email protected]. Please include:
- the IP address involved;
- the date and exact time, with time zone;
- the target domain or service, and what happened;
- any logs or other evidence you can share.
We acknowledge reports within 1 business day. We keep the session log for 14 days only, so please report as soon as you can.
If you think your own device is part of our network without your consent, report that the same way.
10. Changes
We may update this policy, for example to address new kinds of abuse, changes in the law or Network Partner requirements. We will tell you about material changes in advance by email or in the Dashboard, unless a change is urgently needed to stop abuse or to comply with the law. The date at the top shows the current version.
