Instagram proxies that keep every account in one place

Give every account its own clean IP and keep it there: a static ISP address for brand and client accounts at $2.00 per account per month, or a sticky mobile IP for app-first and new accounts.

Per account per month$2.00

One static ISP IP per account, billed per IP with unlimited traffic.

How Meta links accounts

Why Instagram is different

Instagram’s rules care less about proxies and more about connections between accounts. Meta’s Account Integrity policy, last changed on 29 May 2026, lets it restrict accounts and Business Managers owned by the same person as a disabled account, or closely linked to a network that broke the rules.

Its Spam policy targets creating accounts or engaging at very high frequencies, manually or automatically, and allows action at lower frequencies when other signals point to spam. Meta publishes no numeric limits, so any “safe daily number” you read online is folklore.

That makes the proxy’s job on Instagram narrow and important: give each account a clean address no other account shares, and keep that address in the same place week after week.

Pick by account

Which proxy for which kind of account

Choose by how the account lives: on one desk for years, on a creator’s phone, or not at all because it only researches.

Official tools first

Official route or proxy route?

A lot of Instagram work needs no proxy at all. Use Meta’s own tools where they fit, and a proxy where geography matters.

No proxy needed

Meta’s official tools

  • Scheduling and publishing through Meta Business Suite or the Instagram Platform API.
  • The API requires a professional account and allows 100 API-published posts in a rolling 24 hours.
  • Insights, comments and messages for your own and your clients’ professional accounts.
  • The old Basic Display API was switched off on 4 December 2024; integrations built on it need the Platform API.

Where a proxy helps

  • Logging in to client accounts from the client’s country, day after day.
  • Seeing what people in another country see: ads, Reels, search and Explore.
  • Researching public profiles and hashtags without exposing production accounts.
  • Keeping a team’s phones and browser profiles on separate, stable addresses.
Proxies complement the official tools; they do not replace them.
Location

Keep the location stable

A static ISP IP is yours for as long as the rental runs, and it stays on the same network and in the same city. That is the closest thing to how a brand account normally behaves: one office, one connection, months on end.

Travelling? Keep managing the account through the same address from your laptop instead of logging in from the hotel network. A sudden jump between countries is a likely trigger for an extra login check.

Mobile accounts behave differently because phones change IPs all the time. Keep the country fixed with a key such as -cc-gb, hold a sticky session while you work, and let the address refresh between sessions.

Troubleshooting

What Instagram is telling you

Instagram rarely explains itself. These are the common explanations for the messages agencies see most; none of them is an official rule.

What you seeLikely causeWhat to do
“Try again later” after following, liking or messagingMore actions than the account usually makes, in a short timeSlow down for a day or two and spread actions out. A new IP will not reset it.
A suspicious-login prompt asking you to confirm it’s youA new location or device for this accountReturn to the account’s usual IP and device, confirm by email or SMS, then keep that combination.
“Challenge required” in a scheduling or automation toolA login from a context Instagram does not recogniseComplete the challenge in the app on the usual device and IP before automating anything.
Warnings that mention an open or public proxyThe IP has a poor reputation, often a free or widely shared proxyMove the account to a private, authenticated address: ISP, or a fresh sticky mobile session.
An account disabled for links to another accountShared signals with a restricted accountSeparate networks, devices and recovery details per account, and appeal through Accounts Center.
Scenarios

What teams use Instagram proxies for

01

Multi-brand and agency management

Each brand or client sits on its own static IP in its own country, so a problem on one account cannot travel to the others through a shared network.

02

Instagram Shopping by market

Product tags, prices and checkout differ by country. Review your shop the way buyers in each market meet it.

03

Influencer audience checks

Before a deal, look at a creator’s public profile, content and engagement as an outside viewer in the creator’s market.

04

Reels and hashtag trends by country

What is trending in Reels and Explore varies by market. Rotating residential exits show the picture country by country.

05

Meta ad placement checks

Confirm that geo-targeted campaigns, creatives and landing pages appear where and how you paid for them.

06

Competitor benchmarking

Track competitors’ public posting cadence, formats and engagement in each of your markets.

Setup

Set it up per account

ISP proxies come as one line per IP from the order page; mobile and residential use one gateway with a session key per account.

# ISP proxies: one line per account, copied from the order page
# format ip:port:login:password (documentation addresses shown)
198.51.100.24:8080:user_7f2:PASS # @northwind.coffee
198.51.100.25:8080:user_7f2:PASS # @atelier.london

Paste each line into the profile or device that runs that account, and nowhere else.

Habits that matter more than the proxy

Pricing

What it costs per account

ISP proxies are billed per IP per month with unlimited traffic, so the cost of an account is simply $2.00. Mobile and residential are billed per GB on the same tiers; budget them by traffic with the calculator on the TikTok page.

Instagram’s rules still apply

A proxy does not change Meta’s Community Standards or Instagram’s Terms of Use. No fake accounts, no bought followers or engagement, no spam and no automation outside the tools Meta allows. Collect public data only, and remember that public profiles still describe real people.

Instagram proxy questions

A static ISP proxy for accounts that should live in one place for months, such as brand and client accounts. A sticky mobile proxy for accounts that are run from phones or were created in the app. Residential for research, and datacenter not for logins.

ISP when the account is managed from a desk and should look settled: same IP, same city, every day. Mobile when the account lives on a phone. Both are private to you while you use them.

Meta publishes no limit for IPs. Its Account Integrity policy does let it restrict accounts linked to a disabled one, so we recommend one account per IP; with ISP that is $2.00 per account per month.

Instagram’s current help pages describe switching without logging out but give no number. The “five accounts” figure often quoted comes from the 2016 announcement of the feature, and it is about the app, not about IP addresses.

Agencies report it when an account logs in from an address with a poor reputation, typically a free or heavily shared proxy. Move the account to a private, authenticated IP and keep it there.

Usually because the account performed more actions than it normally does in a short time. Slow down for a day or two; switching IPs does not lift it and can add a login check on top.

For as long as you keep renting it, billed monthly. It is never resold while you hold it, and you can replace an address once within the first 24 hours if it does not suit you.

Instagram may ask you to confirm the login. Keep working through the account’s usual IP from your laptop, and avoid logging in from hotel or airport networks.

No. Official tools work from any connection. Proxies are for geography: logging in from a client’s country, checking local ads and researching public content.

On iPhone use Wi-Fi → Configure Proxy → Manual with Authentication. Android needs a proxy client app, since its Wi-Fi proxy has no login field. The setup tabs above show both.

ISP and datacenter IPs belong to one customer while rented. Mobile and residential pools are shared by nature, but a sticky session keeps an exit for up to 60 minutes and the pools are large.

Public profiles and posts can be researched with rotating residential IPs, gently. Logged-in scraping and collecting personal data without a lawful basis are off limits.
