Client accounts in other markets
A London agency running a US brand logs in from a US mobile IP, with the phone set to US region, time zone and language. The proxy covers the network; the device covers the rest.
Run each account from a sticky mobile IP in its own market, one account per IP. Here mobile costs the same as residential: $4.80 down to $2.70 per GB, and unused traffic never expires.
The same volume tiers as residential, starting at $4.80 per GB for the first gigabytes.
Hold one exit IP for up to an hour; set ttl anywhere from 1 to 60 minutes.
Carrier exits on 5G, 4G and LTE networks in top locations.
Pick the market on every request with a country key such as -cc-us.
TikTok work splits into jobs that want different things from a connection. Accounts used in the app want a carrier network; research wants breadth; desktop operations want an address that never moves.
| Job | Proxy | Session | What to keep in mind |
|---|---|---|---|
| Daily posting and replies in the app | Mobile | Sticky, up to 60 min | One IP per account, always in the account’s market country. |
| Registering a new account | Mobile | Sticky, 30–60 min | Sign up on the network type the account will live on, and never switch its country later. |
| TikTok Shop, Seller Center and live sessions | ISP or Mobile | Static, or sticky 60 min | An IP in the shop’s country. An ISP address stays the same for the whole month. |
| TikTok Studio and agency desktop work | ISP | Static for the rental | $2.00 per account per month with unlimited traffic, so video uploads cost nothing extra. |
| Trend, sound and hashtag research by country | Residential | Rotating | Logged out or a dedicated research account; a fresh IP per request. |
| Ad, Spark Ads and creator-partnership checks | Residential | Sticky, 10 min | Exit in the target country and confirm what people there are actually served. |
| Collecting public profiles, videos and comments | Residential | Rotating | Public pages only, at gentle request rates. |
| Logged-in accounts on datacenter IPs | Not recommended | — | Hosting networks are easy to recognise. Keep datacenter IPs for your own tooling. |
Mobile and residential share one price list, so the choice between them is about the task, not the bill.
TikTok’s privacy policies say it estimates your location from the “SIM card region, IP address, and device system settings” (US policy, updated 15 July 2026). It also records your carrier, time zone and network type. A proxy covers one of those signals, so a local IP is necessary for a market but never sufficient on its own.
| Signal | Where TikTok gets it | Changed by a proxy? |
|---|---|---|
| IP address and network (ASN) | Every connection the app makes | Yes, the exit IP and its network |
| SIM card region | The phone’s SIM or eSIM | No |
| Device region and language | System settings | No, set it on the device |
| Time zone | The system clock | No, set it on the device |
| Carrier and network type | Device network APIs | Partly: the IP shows a carrier, the phone reports its own |
| Precise location | GPS, with permission (US policy since January 2026) | No |
| Account history | Sign-up country and past logins | No |
TikTok does not publish how it weighs these signals. The table lists what it says it collects; it is not a formula.
Mobile carriers put many subscribers behind one public IPv4 address, a technique called carrier-grade NAT. A 2016 measurement study found it on more than 92% of mobile networks, against 17–18% of fixed broadband networks. Blocking such an address outright would also block the real people who share it.
That does not make mobile IPs untouchable. Cloudflare’s October 2025 analysis of shared carrier addresses found mostly human traffic behind them, yet those addresses were rate-limited about three times as often as others. Treat a mobile IP as expensive to ban, not as immune.
In practice: stay on one sticky session while you are logged in, keep the account’s country fixed, and let the address refresh between sessions. Phones change IPs all day; an hourly change inside the same country and carrier type is ordinary mobile life.

Shop operations follow the shop’s country. Use an exit in that country for Seller Center and live sessions, and check TikTok’s own list of supported markets before you plan a launch.
Since TikTok USDS Joint Venture was set up in January 2026, the US recommendation system is being retrained on US data. Watching the US For You feed from a US exit is now a research task of its own.
Trending sounds and hashtags differ by market. A rotating residential exit per country shows what is surfacing in the US, UK or Germany without touching production accounts.
Confirm that geo-targeted ads, Spark Ads and creator partnerships render in the right country, with the right landing page and the right language.
Shortlist creators from public profile data and engagement in a given country. Public pages only, and nothing collected from behind a login.
There is no official number. TikTok’s Community Guidelines allow several accounts for different channels of authentic creative expression, and prohibit accounts operated in bulk, run through unauthorised automation, used for fake engagement or created to evade a ban. Figures such as 3, 5 or 15 accounts per IP that circulate online come from vendors and forums, not from TikTok.
Our recommendation is one account per sticky IP. It removes the one link between accounts you fully control, the network they share, and it costs almost nothing extra: you pay for gigabytes, not for addresses.
Agencies should also use the official tool for client work. TikTok Business Center holds up to 1,000 members and 150 ad accounts, with “Deliver ads” and “Manage account” permissions on client accounts. A proxy is for the geography, not a replacement for Business Center.
Every login below follows the same pattern: your login, a country key, a session key and a hold time. One session key per account.
gate.chronoproxy.com, port 7000. Turn on Authentication and paste the login and password from the dashboard.cp_a1b2c3-cc-us-sid-acct01-ttl-60 so the exit stays put while you work. The Wi-Fi proxy covers that Wi-Fi network only. Mobile data does not go through it.
gate.chronoproxy.com, port 7000 for HTTP or 7001 for SOCKS5.cp_a1b2c3-cc-us-sid-acct02-ttl-60.# one sticky US exit per account, held for up to 60 minutes
curl -x gate.chronoproxy.com:7000 \
-U "cp_a1b2c3-cc-us-sid-acct01-ttl-60:PASS" \
https://ipinfo.io/jsonThe same session key returns the same exit until the hold time runs out. A new key means a new IP.
Traffic per account depends mostly on how much video is watched through the proxy. Pick a usage profile, set the number of accounts and compare per-GB pricing with static ISP IPs.
$3.90 per GB at this volume; unused traffic never expires.
One IP per account, unlimited traffic.
ISP suits accounts run from a desk all month; mobile suits accounts that live in the app.
Get mobile proxiesPlanning assumptions, not measurements: light 60 MB, typical 200 MB, heavy 800 MB per account per day. Feed watching drives the total; TikTok’s data saver setting cuts it.
Many providers charge more for mobile than for residential. Here the tiers are identical, so mobile is the default for app accounts.
| Proxy | Best TikTok job | Session | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mobile | App accounts and new sign-ups | Sticky up to 60 min | $4.80 → $2.70 per GB |
| Residential | Research, ad checks, public data | Rotating or sticky | $4.80 → $2.70 per GB |
| ISP | Shop and desktop work on fixed accounts | Static all month | $2.00 per IP per month |
| Datacenter | Your own tooling, never logged-in accounts | Static | $1.20 per IP per month |
Adult ad reach reported by DataReportal’s Digital 2026 reports. Each country page covers that market’s networks, cities, local sites and legal notes.
A proxy changes your network, not TikTok’s rules. The Community Guidelines still apply with or without one: no bulk-operated accounts, no unauthorised automation, no bought engagement and no ban evasion. Collect public data only, and only what you have a lawful reason to process.
ChronoProxy is not affiliated with TikTok or ByteDance. No proxy can guarantee that an account will never be restricted.Mobile for accounts you use in the app, because a carrier IP matches how TikTok is normally used. Residential for research and public data, ISP for fixed desktop work such as TikTok Studio or Shop operations, and datacenter not at all for logged-in accounts.
Mobile when you post and engage from the app, residential when you research trends or collect public data. Both cost the same per GB here, so choose by task rather than by price.
TikTok publishes no number. We recommend one account per sticky IP: it keeps accounts from sharing a network, and the extra cost is small because you pay for traffic, not for addresses.
It changes the IP signal only. TikTok also reads the SIM region, device settings and time zone, and the account keeps its own history. A local IP is necessary for a market but not sufficient on its own.
Yes, for different channels of authentic creative expression, according to its Community Guidelines. Accounts operated in bulk, unauthorised automation, fake engagement and ban evasion are prohibited.
Use an exit in the shop’s country for Seller Center and live sessions; a static ISP IP keeps the same address all month. TikTok Shop opens market by market, so check TikTok’s current list of supported countries before you plan a launch.
On iPhone: Wi-Fi → Configure Proxy → Manual, with Authentication on. Android’s built-in Wi-Fi proxy has no login field, so use a proxy client app or an antidetect or cloud-phone profile. The setup tabs above walk through each one.
Up to 60 minutes. Add -sid-
Mostly whatever video is watched through the proxy. Posting and replying take tens of megabytes a day; long feed sessions can take hundreds. The calculator uses 60, 200 and 800 MB a day as planning profiles.
A clean, private IP in the right country does not break TikTok’s rules by itself; behaviour does. No proxy provider can honestly promise that an account will never be restricted.
Public profile, video and comment pages can be collected with rotating residential IPs at gentle rates. Do not collect anything behind a login, or personal data you have no lawful basis to process.
No. Mobile and residential gigabytes stay on your balance until you use them.
